TXExport is an X files exporter plugin for 3DS Max 4 and 3DS Max 5. It can
export static geometry, skin meshes, bones hierarchies, b-splines, as well
as animations. The plugin extends the standard X file format to enable features
that are not originally available in X files.
Supports static meshes.
Supports skin meshes. The plugin supports both the Skin modifier (ISkin interface) and the Physique modifier (IPhysique interface).
Exports vertex normals after handling normal groups.
Exports vertex colors.
Exports material data. Supported attributes are diffuse, specular, emissive, opacity.
Exports texture data and texture coordinates.
Supports bitmap textures and RGB Multiply textures. RGB Multiply textures are exported as D3D multitexturing. The plugin will also export the texture coordinates of each texture.
Exports hierarchies and bones.
Exports line shapes.
Exports nodes animation. Animation includes translation, rotation, and scale. Animation can either be an array of matrix keys, or separate arrays of translation keys, rotation keys, and scale keys.
Exports text, binary, or binary compressed x files.
